The dating profile at Christian mingle is quite extensive. You start by choosing ‘fun facts’ about yourself – your favorite types of food, movies, outdoor activities etc which is followed by a few open questions.
You can then highlight the type of person you are looking to date, a feature all good online dating sites should have. This is again done by tick boxes with sections for body type, education etc and importantly Christian denomination and religious observance.
The final section is 7 essays or open text question/answers which are pretty standard but include two Christian themed questions ‘My favorite bible passage and why’ and ‘To me being a Christian means’. These are optional but you’ll be beefing up your profile by completing them.
Once you’ve got your
dating profile up the first thing that strikes you are the huge number of dating search methods and contact features. There are the regular searches you’d expect from a top notch dating site – quick search, advanced search, new member search, and members online. In addition are a number of one click searches where you can choose recent matches, recently updated, today’s birthdays, stand-out profiles.
So, lots of different ways to search and find a date, but are there enough members to contact? Well I was pleasantly surprised, Christian Mingle although a global site has had a slow start in the U.K but I got good results when I searched.

Christian Mingle offers a personality test called the color code, after you take it your profile will be flagged by one of four colors and then you can see how your personality compares to other dating members who’ve taken the test. Finally there’s a ‘think you’d click’ feature, click it and your profile will be sent anonymously to the member to see if he/she thinks the same.
Christian Mingle is a technologically driven online dating site offering tons of features with a clean, easy to navigate site. Some may find Christian Mingle a little too corporate, but with a growing UK membership it should be seriously considered by christian singles
